The first thing to understand about commissioning is that it is not like picking a Chinese or Mexican guitar off the shelf of your local guitar store or even picking out a second hand vintage classic.

Commissioning is about opportunity and the rapport between maker and client which starts by a phone call. It is about stretching the imagination to consider what is possible with a view to creating something entirely individual like a hand tailored suit.

You may be looking for a guitar which combines excellent tonal quality, good volume, comfortable action, novel (or traditional)
construction, fantastic looks and superb craftsmanship.
